Oneplus has officially debuted its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, priced at $1,699.

This device boasts a slim and lightweight design, distinguishing itself with the inclusion of OnePlus' signature alert slider.
The preorders for the OnePlus Open have commenced, with retail availability beginning on October 26th.
Developed in collaboration with parent company Oppo, the OnePlus Open marks the third-generation foldable smartphone from Oppo. In fact, it will be sold as the Oppo Find N3 in the Chinese market. OnePlus highlights the durability of the OnePlus Open, which has been tested for a million folding cycles, surpassing its competitors such as the Pixel Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The device's hinge is designed to endure daily opening and closing for over 10 years. Additionally, the OnePlus Open measures just 5.8mm thin when unfolded and weighs as little as 239 grams, making it one of the slimmest and lightest options available. It operates on OxygenOS 13.2, based on Android 13, and features the Open Canvas function to enable multi-app usage on its larger screen. The OnePlus Open is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone is equipped with a 4,805mAh battery and supports fast charging up to 67W. As for the camera capabilities, the OnePlus Open boasts a Hasselblad-branded triple lens setup, including a main 48-megapixel camera, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens. Overall, the OnePlus Open aims to deliver durability, functionality, and high-performance features to users seeking a foldable smartphone.
The device incorporates HDR capability, enabling smooth playback of 4K videos at 60 frames per second. Accompanying the rear cameras are a dual set of selfie cameras, equipped with 20-megapixel and 32-megapixel sensors, seamlessly integrated within a pair of hole-punch notches.
